What a match means
✓The file is byte for byte the one that was registered, and it existed on that date. Change one letter and it no longer matches.
✓It does not prove that what the document says is true.
✓The name shown is the one the account chose. Flash doesn't check who people are, except for Flash's own documents, which show as AI-Flash Inc.
✓A file that doesn't match shows nothing about any other document.
✓Each registration is also written to Flash's trust log, a record where every line is linked to the one before it, so a changed or deleted line shows.
The fingerprint is the file's SHA-256, the same one shasum -a 256 on a Mac or Get-FileHash on Windows gives, so you can check it with your own tools too.
